How to Grow
Start flat parsley seeds indoors in a bright container or window box with well-drained soil, as this biennial herb prefers a sunny spot. It is low-maintenance and looks after itself once established, making it ideal for balconies or garden beds.
Sowing
Sow the flat parsley seeds thinly on good seed compost and cover lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged to encourage germination, which can take up to three weeks. This can be done any time of year from January to December indoors.
Growing
Once seedlings have developed, thin them to avoid overcrowding, ensuring each plant has enough space to grow within a 20 cm pot or garden area. This spacing helps the flat parsley achieve healthy growth during its main growing months from June to September.
Plant care
Keep the soil moist throughout the growing season, especially during warmer months, to support steady development. Regularly pinch back the flat parsley to encourage bushier growth and prolong the harvest period, making the most of this fresh garden herb.

History of Parsley
Parsley is native to the Mediterranean and western Asia. In ancient Greek legend, parsley grew where the hero Archemorus fell. The Greeks revered parsley and avoided eating it, using it mainly for decoration and rituals.
