How to Sow Your Seeds
Start your Foodies Seed Set indoors from February to August in seed trays or pots to give the seeds a warm and moist environment. Once seedlings have grown strong and the last frost has passed, transplant them outside into window boxes, balconies, containers, or garden beds for best results.
Sowing
Sow the seeds thinly in warm, damp, well-drained soil and cover them lightly. Keeping the trays or pots on a sunny windowsill will encourage successful germination during the sowing months of February to August.
Growing
Thin out the seedlings to avoid overcrowding and transplant them into 30 cm pots or suitable outdoor locations. Harden off the young plants before moving them outdoors to ensure they adapt well during the growing months from July to October.
Plant care
Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during warmer months. Pinch back growing tips to promote bushier growth and consider succession sowing within the sowing period to extend the harvest season and maintain a continuous supply of flavourful food.
