How to Sow Your Seeds

Start the Micro Green Seed Set indoors on a bright windowsill, ideal for kitchen counters, window boxes, or balconies. These annual microgreens thrive in a 30 cm container where they look after themselves with minimal effort.

  • Sowing

Sow seeds evenly over damp compost in shallow trays and lightly press them down. Cover with a lid or tray to maintain warmth and moisture, essential for germination throughout the year.

  • Growing

Once the seeds sprout, remove the cover and place the trays in a sunny spot, such as a windowsill, ensuring even growth by rotating trays daily. Keep the compost consistently moist using a spray bottle to support the shoots as they grow to 5–10 cm tall.

  • Plant care

Harvest microgreens when shoots reach 5–10 cm by cutting just above the soil line. Since most microgreens do not regrow, sow fresh trays every 1–2 weeks to maintain a steady supply. Rinse shoots before eating and continue growing indoors year-round, keeping the compost moist with regular misting.
