How to Grow
Start Ammi Majus seeds outdoors in well-drained soil located in a sunny or partially shaded spot. This annual thrives with minimal effort and is suitable for balconies, containers, or garden beds where it can receive ample light during the growing months from June to September.
Sowing
Scatter the seeds on firm, damp soil and pat them down gently. Then cover with a thin layer of soil and place the area in a sealed clear container in a sunny spot to encourage germination during the sowing windows of February to April or August to September.
Growing
Once seedlings emerge, thin them to provide adequate space for growth, considering the plant's potential height and spread in a 30 cm pot or garden bed. This ensures healthy development and airflow, preventing overcrowding as the plants mature.
Plant care
Keep the soil moist until germination and continue watering moderately throughout the growing season, especially during dry spells. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to promote prolonged blooming and support pollinators, ensuring the plant remains attractive and vigorous from June through September.
